These qualifications are designed for individuals wishing to develop professional management and leadership practice who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive business activities in a senior management and leadership role.
Roles and responsibilities may also include but are not limited to taking responsibility for people, projects, operations and/or services to deliver long term organisational success. They will have the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and development.
These qualifications are regulated from 1st February 2019 and the operational start date in CMI Centres is 1st February 2019. These qualifications will be reviewed from time to time, for more information see the CMI External Qualification List for review date.
Learners must complete at least one unit to a minimum of 50 TQT hours to achieve this qualification, selected from units 601-614, Group A. The minimum guided learning hours is 15.

CMI Level 6 Qualifications in Professional Management and Leadership Practice
The CMI Level 6 qualification is designed for middle managers preparing to move into senior leadership roles. The programme develops advanced management capabilities, strategic decision making skills, and the leadership behaviours required to drive organisational performance.
Learners study fully online through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), with structured study materials, tutor support, and assignment based assessment. Depending on the chosen pathway—Award, Certificate, or Diploma—students complete between 1 and 6 units, each focused on real world leadership practice.
